Approaching
Wanaka from Dunedin, the Lindis Pass/Mt Cook/Tekapo or from Queenstown via
the Kawarau gorge:
Watch out for Wanaka airport (small) on your right, and approx 3kms later, also on your RIGHT, you will come to Halliday Road, an unsealed road off SH6. Drive to the end of Halliday Road, in through the stone gates, past the farm buildings and on up to the lodge.
Approaching from Wanaka (or
Queenstown via the Crown Range Rd, SH 89).
If you drive from QUEENSTOWN via highway 89 and the Crown Range, the trip is slightly shorter (1 hour). The road is a high switch-back and more exposed, with magnificent views, but sealed asphelt all the way. This road takes you in to Wanaka township and to reach us you need to drive out the other side onto SH6. Pass (but do not take) the turn-off to the West Coast, continue on SH6 and turn left down Halliday Road, continue as above. If you reach the airport you have driven too far.
Approaching from the West Coast
Arriving from the WEST COAST you will cross the Clutha River and shortly after arrive at a T intersection - 2 mins to your right is Wanaka, but turn left onto SH6 continue 1-2 mins until you reach Halliday Road, also on your left. Drive to the end of Halliday Road, in through the stone gates, past the farm buildings and on up to the lodge which is set up on the hillside.
