Riverrun Location
We have selected three special places on the property which suit a marquee wedding. Our wedding prices include the location and marquee hire, three nights accommodation for the bride and groom at Riverrun lodge in a luxurious Clutha room and sumptuous breakfasts daily (lodge facilities are available for the bride and groom only). Our marquee hire includes a solid wooden floor and silk lining, lighting, gas heating and superior loos. Prices do not include catering or flowers etc.
Intimate
Wedding night accommodation at the lodge for bride and groom. Marquee for up to 50 guests.
Grand
Wedding night accommodation at the lodge for bride and groom. Marquee for up to 100 guests.

With 500 acres of magnificent property and spectacular mountain and riverside views, you can choose Riverrun as a marquee location only or you can make exclusive use of the lodge as a venue. Our lodge staff cater for smaller Wanaka weddings and we also work with two excellent caterers for larger weddings and suggest employing the services of a planner for weddings over 30 people.
The ceremony can take place at the lodge with spectacular views of the Southern Alps. Alternatively you might choose to take a helicopter from the lodge grounds and be married on a mountain overlooking the lake or be whisked away after the ceremony to the mountain top for some stunning photographs while your guests enjoy canapes and champagne.
Guest accommodation
The lodge can accommodate up to 10 overnight guests in five rooms, with exclusive use of the lodge. For larger weddings we set aside one of the smaller rooms as guest facilities, limiting the number of rooms for accommodation to four. We request minimum two night stays for lodge weddings and three night stays for lodge and lodge/marquee weddings.

Every wedding is different and so catering, flowers and other individual choices will need to be discussed with you personally. Our prices include wedding coordination and lodge staff, but do not include catering or furniture, flowers, wine or music. Marquee hire includes a solid wooden floor and silk lining, lighting and gas heating.
Intimate
Three nights accommodation at Riverrun lodge for up to ten people in three Clutha rooms and two Cardrona rooms, and full use of lodge facilities. Up to 14 people seated dining at the lodge or up to 30 people enjoying more informal drinks and canapes at the lodge.
Grand
Three nights accommodation at Riverrun lodge for up to eight people in two Clutha rooms and one Cardrona room, and full use of lodge facilities. 30-60 people seated dining in a marquee adjacent to the lodge and use of lodge facilities.
